Happy Valentine's Day everyone! As we all know by now (unless you have been living under a rock), Whitney Houston passed away on Saturday. We lost a music legend, and '90s kids are especially upset over losing Cinderella's fairy godmother. R.I.P. Whitney. February 9, 2012 HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATSY! February 7, 2012 So initially I was going to do a video news blog for the week but I am running behind and don't want to be behind on the news soooo... Last week, Leslie Carter, sister of Aaron and Nick, died from a prescription drug overdose. Both of her brothers will be continuing their tours and are not taking time off to mourn their sister. They both claim she loved to see them perform. You know what she would've loved more? If they'd been around to help her battle her addiction, but ya know, who am I to judge? Honestly, I always thought it would be Aaron that was the first to overdose. Roseanne Barr filed paperwork on Friday to run for President for the Green Party, believing that the Democrats and Republicans are bought and paid for by the 1%. I am all for a woman president, and Roseanne totally has the balls for it, but she also scares the crap out of me. I wasn't even allowed to watch her show. I wouldn't want to live in a country she ran. About the Site
After finding several sites all about different aspects and afflictions surrounding being a 90s kid, two friends came along and decided to create their own site all about the 90s. They hope to bring joy and nostalgia to every teenager & twentysomething that can relate.
Okay, we're dorks. We know this is true. But we also know that there are plenty of other kids our age wondering who still remembers the good ol' days when the shows on Nickelodeon were good and the Disney stars weren't plastered all over the newsstands. Everyone wanted a spot on Legends of the Hidden Temple and we stayed home on Fridays to watch T.G.I.F. without shame. Topanga and Cory were the couple by which we hold our current romantic standards. Not to mention we spent hours upon hours trying to catch all 150 Pokemon on Gameboy... We know you can relate. The blog is located under "being a 90s kid" where we discuss all things 90s. "Where are they now?" is a section about where our favorite stars are, you can submit names to us and we will track down where that person is now. "Fun Facts" is gonna be filled with things that seem really interesting or amusing to us about 90s actors and such. We also have an "About the Bloggers" section and "Contact Us" where you can submit questions or suggested topics to us. | Fun Fact
There is a recent push for Disney channel to rerun many of its shows from the 90s/2000s in response to Nickelodeon's 90s spots each night from 12am-2am.
Filling the Void
We know you miss the 90s. If we could use a time machine we would. Unfortunately, the technology isn't quite ready for us to revisit the best days of our lives. For now, we will bring you daily tips on ways to relive some moments with our Tip of the Week.
